The 2021 PROTECT Act (formally S.B. 1059) passed the Connecticut legislature in early June 2021. On June 30, Governor Ned Lamont issued a surprise veto to block the legislation and made an executive order instead. His order is insufficient and unacceptable. Stop Solitary CT is working tirelessly to fight for a new PROTECT Act in 2022.
